In 35 years of travel around Africa and the Middle East I'm pleased to have avoided BA almost completely and used mostly KLM and AF. There's nothing like flying home in a lovely big blue 747 after a tiring stressful trip.

Beautiful aircraft, flew the 747 back in 1994, from Sydney to Singapore, then to Amsterdam. Loved the power of the engines.

The P&W 4077 turbofans give so much power during takeoff. I noticed that this airplane didn't use a whole lot of runway before lifting off. This must've been one of the originally delivered Boeing 777-200ERs to United back in the early '90s.
